Conflict of Interest

It is vital to our credibility that we prevent any conflicts of interest to the benefit of our clients and staff alike.

For over 10 years the NDA Regulatory Advisory Board has provided a recognised platform for regulators leaving the Agencies where they’ve been able to continue their mission while maintaining their objectivity, integrity and independence; a place where they have been able to continue to provide the highest level of input and advice into the development of good medicines.

To safeguard the objectivity of NDA’s former regulatory agency representatives a number of mechanisms are in place. Examples of this are for instance the prohibition for any Advisory Board members to be involved in any interactions with regulatory bodies, internal cool down periods and tracking of potential conflicts of interest with internal firewalls as a consequence.

Most importantly, however, is that no project is managed directly by the scientific advisers, but by dedicated project managers who are also responsible for the communication with the client. This procedure formalises the communication with NDA Advisory Board members in much the same way as the communication between industry and agency, ensuring a healthy distance between requester and assessor/advisor.
